My quest for understanding exactly why I'm feeling so great since reducing
corn, sesame, oxalates and using olive leaf extract/oregano oil continues.
I got lots of good information that many on this list may find helpful.
I'll do a separate summary on the oxalates issue... later. [As usual, my
obnoxious comments in brackets.] ~Valerie in Tacoma
-----------
ARE YOU FEELING WELL AND IF YOU ARE THEN ALL IS WELL BUT IF YOU ARE NOT THEN
DISCONTINUE ONE THING BUT NOT EVERYTHING AT ONCE UNTIL YOU FIND THE ONE
THAT IS CAUSING A PROBLEM. OXALATES CAUSE KIDNEY STONES (SOME FRUITS ARE
HIGH IN THIS AND SOME VEG) OF COURSE TOO MUCH CALCIUM CAN TOO AND CAUSE
SOMETHING TO GROW ON THE HEART VALVES , WHEN I WENT ON TPN IN DEC 1994 AND
WAS GETTING SIX LITERS OF FLUID THROUGH A CENTERAL LINE IT WASHED OUT SO
MANY STONES AND WHEN IN I WAS GETTING TOO MUCH CALCIUM I HAD THE GROWTH ON
MY HEAT VALVES ...USE CANDEX FOR CANDIDA(YEAST) ... LILY

Yes, I do regularly take oregano oil but not full strength. I mix it with
EV olive oil. I use it to brush my teeth. I even swab my nose with it
while laying down--had sinus infection my entire life and it is one of the
only things which will kill anything there (and kills off alot!) I do not
take the capsules internally full strength, but while brushing my teeth, I
take 3 oil caps and break open with a teaspoon of EVOO. Mix this and brush
on teeth and gums. And I intentionally swallow some, so I do get internal
benefits (I just do not take it as others usually would.) The reason I mix
it with EVOO is it is WAY too strong otherwise. I really think this would
not be good internally, either, to take such a strong dose. I go to gasping
for air if I accidently get some that is undiluted. But that said, I use it
and like it. Kills fungi and bacteria. It is listed as a germicidal for
both, I believe. Mia

I used Olive Leaf Extract for about 5 yrs. on a daily basis, to help lower
borerline high blood pressure. It was very effective for that purpose,
enough so that my internist stopped yammering about a trial of diuretic
Rx...
At the present time I've got fairly low BP, likely a part of low
cortisol/adrenal fatigue. I've discontinued the OLE as it seems to further
aggravate the now-low BP. I don't think the OLE caused my adrenal problem,
there were other factors. ...
I do use oregano oil caps on a short-term basis to knock out bugs. However I
find they can cause stomach irritation if overdone. But very effective for
the intended purpose. Perhaps the drops, which could probably be diluted in
liquid, would be less irritating to the stomach. ~Lorna

BUT wanted to tell you I watch a doc (D.O) and his wife on tv, Dr. Richard
Becker and wife,
Cindy: YOUR HEALTH WITH DR. RICHARD AND CINDY BECKER.
www.bioinnovations.net
(station affiliate list link: http://tinyurl.com/32e47c )
Have you heard of him? He answers callers health questions at the end of
the show. 800-635-2673 between noon and 1pm ET. I'm sure it's hard to get
on air; he also has email, but doesn't promise reply. ... What's good to
realize about this doc is that he's recovered from lymphoma himself. And he
attributes his recovery to the aid of supplements and diet; his wife is
vegetarian and into whole grains. :o* and some conventional medicine. ...
Since my diagnosis last Feb I've watched him. And you know I've read a ton
about health since then, too. His health suggestions are supplement derived
primarily (and he sells it), but he's no dummy and integrates conventional
medicine also. Anyway, he's VERY into oregano oil! And his recommendations
mirror what I've learned other places (alternative practices). ... He has a
book on amazon, but I've seen him selling his newest, updated version on the
show - the updated one is not on amazon yet.
http://tinyurl.com/355odo ....
I'm watching my backlogged Dr. Becker shows now - today he's talking with
someone who's having high allergy response to environmental allergens
(outdoor). His recommendations?
oregano oil drops 2x/day (his wife uses it for her asthma; she'd cough when
she laid down at night)
LOCAL bee pollen (if not allergic to anything bee related) probiotics ...
still watching, but need to shower and look like I was a productive member
of the family. angel

Hi Valerie - yes, inflammation is key. Here's the exerpt from my blog.

Are you sugar and grain free? (Thinking of yeast.) Have you read anything
by Dr. Sherry Rogers? My allergist recommends her. He's an ENT and
alternative. ~Angel in OKC
---------
I do oil of oregano in the winter time, [for colds & yeast infections]
taking usually 2 a day when cold season is in full swing. I haven't had a
cold in several years or the flu. I do not take flu shots. Also, I open a
capsule and put in on my toes that have fungus toenail. Good there too. I
do capsules. Betty

[Mary asked me:] why have you chosen the extracts rather than taking the
capsules and how do you take the liquids--straight or mix them with
something?
[I answered:] No particular reason. [Life Time Olive Leaf extract & Oil of
Oregano] It's just the first one I saw on the shelf of my local health food
store. I used it diluted in a glass of water as directed on the bottle for
about 4 days in a row last month. Lately I've been using it once a day,
every couple days.
