Dear friends,

I am writing to tell you about a project that I believe have much to offer
our African community. The Community Education Center will be a place for
all of us to learn and offer our talents to the community.

I have attached an article here that my colleague on the board of the
Wexford Ridge Neighborhood Center, Barb Olsen, sent out to her neighborhood.
This article speaks for all us of African immigrants that have and will
continue to live on the West side of Madison-Wisconsin, and I hope that we
can get similarly involved to support this great project.

As for my family, the Wexford Ridge Neighborhood complex is our second home
from Nigeria, West Africa. It is the only home known by some of my children
and grand children. My late wife lived, gave birth to two of our three
children and died there. In almost the twenty-three years of living there
on and off, I have also seen some Africans who have lived there and moved
on. We have also benefited greatly from the services of the Wexford Ridge
Neighborhood Center soon to be transformed into the Community Education
Center (CEC).

As a Board member striving to build and establish the new center, I am
calling on your help as a community to support the effort. Your donations,
talent and man-power in terms of volunteers will help us to get the job
done. We should not allow our community - the African community to be left
out in this endeavor. We should stand up and be counted. Please read the
attached article and check the website. If you want to know how to
contribute your widow's mite, please contact me, Dr. Ademola Iyi-Eweka, at
