I contacted Ben's kidney doctor today, there is a 24 month waiting period
for Medicare for a person receiving Social Security Disability, however,
once a person has to start  dialysis at home he is cover from day one, if he
starts the dialysis treatment at the office it is three months before he is
covered!
so we seem to be stuck in the middle.  I think I'll check with some
insurance companies to see what the will charge for an individual policy, it
will probably be very expensive!!
I have filled out applications for patient assistance programs for Ben's
medications, so he will be approved I am sure, he just want be able to see a
doctor!
crazy sin't it!  if you have enougyh money to live, it's too much,  we don't
have large sums of money, just enough to pay rent and  food and utilities,
Ben hasn't been feeling well lately at all, I  don't know if his kidneys are
getting worse or not!
we will just do the best we can with what we have.
