ankles. I won't be painting my roof, I have no barn; I am not crazy enough
to wax my screens; and Garrison Keillor is VERY unlikely to be appearing on
stage at our local Grange. So Chris is safe from all that. Ruth

If there were pigeon poop on a flat roof, it would be out near the edge
where he'll be lying, not 3 feet in from the edge (or more, since he's
pretty tall) where you would be holding his ankles. And it's not like
you'd have to hold his ankles real tightly, anyway.
C'mon down and give him a hand. He'd do the same for you if you were
painting the roof of your barn, or waxing your screen doors, or watching
Garrison Keillor on stage. Wouldn't you, Chris?
