Uh, Joe, did you see the part where they were on the boat in the middle
of the sea and they saw Jesus in the distance? He was coming toward
them, He wasn't 'with' them, and Peter walked to Him. Can you not see
that in that passage?

Vera,

I don't know how you bible quotations supported your stand that Jesus
was not with his disciples. As your quotation clearly indicated if he
was not there with them, Peter would have drowned like your evangelist
friend.

Vera,
> I was only trying to do my own miracle. Can you guess what
it is?
> Walking on the internet!!!
> Sam
> > Sam,
if you really believe what you posted, please let me know so
>
> that I can pray for you.
> > That pastor was attempting to
show others, his congregation, the
> > full extent of his faith
in God. How many of you first of all,
> > actually have any
faith, and
secondly, have faith that others can
> > see and use to help
bolster their own faith? We don't know if the
> > prophetic is
operating in that church; we don't know how much or
> > how
clearly they hear the voice of God. Furthermore, when you are
>
> operating in faith, the enemy talks to you loudly and clearly
to
> > dissuade you from what you're doing or to prevent you
from taking
> > the proper course of action. The enemy always
talks more and
> > louder than God does to try to keep people
from hearing Him.
> >
> > ----- Original Message

> >
> > > Dear Vera,
> > > Drowning could
also be a way of walking "inside" water!!! Which
> > is
>
> > greater, to walk "on" or "in" water??? A person who walks
"in"
> > > water does more work because he is at once
suspended in water
> > and
> > > at the same time
bears the immense weight of the water above
> > > him!!! If
you agree with me, don't respond.
> > > Sam
> >
>
> > > > Alright. Open your bibles to Matthew 14:22,
then John 14:12-
> 14
> > > > Matt 14:22-33
>
> > > 2 Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat
and
> > go
> > > > before Him to the other side,
while He sent the multitudes
> > away.
> > > >
23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on
>
the
> > > > mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening
came, He was
> > alone
> > > > there. 24 But the
boat was now in the middle of the sea,
> > tossed
> >
> by
> > > > the waves, for the wind was contrary. 25
Now in the fourth
> >
watch
> > > > of the night Jesus went to them, walking on
the sea. 26 And
> > when
> > > > the disciples
saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled,
> > > >
saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out for fear. 27 But
>
> > > immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Be of good
cheer!
> It
> > > is
> > > > I; do not
be afraid." 28 And Peter answered Him and said,
> >
"Lord,
> > > > if it is You, command me to come to You on
the water." 29 So
> > He
> > > > said, "Come."
And when Peter had come down out of the boat,
> he
> >
> > walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw
that
> > the
> > > > wind was boisterous, he was
afraid; and beginning to sink he
> > >
cried
> > > > out, saying, "Lord, save me!"
> >
> > 31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and
caught
> > him,
> > > > and said to him, "O you
of little faith, why did you doubt?"
> > 32
> > >
> And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 Then
>
> those
> > > > who were in the boat came and
worshiped Him, saying, "Truly
> > You
> > > >
are the Son of God." NKJV
> > > > As I said, Jesus was
walking out to the boat that was in the
> > > > middle of
the Sea of Galilee.
> > > > John 14:12-14
> >
> > 12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me,
the
> > > works
> > > > that I do he will do
also; and greater works than these he
> > will
>
> > > do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in
My
> > > name,
> > > > that I will do, that
the Father may be glorified in the Son.
> > 14
> >
> If
> > > > you ask anything in My name, I will do
it. NKJV
> > > > It is not unreasonable to expect to do
this miracle; however,
> > if
> > > > it was
done as a test, the Bible specifically instructs
> >
against
> > > > putting God Almighty to the test. There
is only one place God
> > > > says to "prove Him in
this," and this is in Malachi 3 where
> > He's
> >
> > talking about giving tithes. Jesus expects us to do
>
everything
> > > He
> > > > did and greater.
We know nothing of this man's faith or
> >
beliefs.
> > > > He may, like many of you and too many
preachers in too many
> > > > pulpits, give lip service
to the word of God and believe the
> > > parts
> >
> > he likes and dismisses the parts he doesn't.
> > >
