Hi,
I have searched for this phone and it does not seem to exist any more. Is
this the only model of the LG phones that are accessible or are there
updated models?
I am using Cingular.

Thanks.
Steve

Subject: [VICUG-L] Cell Phone Search!

Hello,

I have recently taken a half time job with an organization here in Maine.
It is a small, underfunded, nonprofit that serves people with disabilities
and it serves us well with limited resources.

As part of my duties, I must organize and do outreach. I have received a
cell phone as part of the package and was added to a plan the organization
all ready has. The plan, and the phone, all ready existed at the
organization.

It is not, in most ways, an accessible phone. I went to a couple of local
outlets of US Cellular to attempt to purchase an LG phone, specifically the
LG 4750 UX which appears to be the most blind friendly CDMA phone available.

Without purchasing a new plan, that phone will cost $349 and change plus
sales tax.

A half time position will not allow me to make such an expenditure,
especially early in my employment. I'm wondering if, by upgrade or changing

carriers, someone on the list might have abandoned an LG phone. I know
there are a couple of models that might work so it would not have to be
specifically a 4750. If so, I would be interested in finding out how I
might purchase, trade for, or otherwise make a transaction for an LG phone.
Got an LG phone in your drawer?
This could be an opportunity to recycle it!

Thanks, reply to [log in to unmask]
