I have been GF for 9 months at the suggestion of my naturopath whom I visited for IBS symptoms and peripheral neuropathy. The PN is gone and only occasionally do I have GI symptoms. The GI specialist that I went to did an endomysial blood test which was negative. She says that based on that test I definitely do not have CD and dismissed my concerns. Can she be correct? I've been reading on this list about all the other blood tests that people are getting, and I'm wondering if it's clearly that simple or if I should press for more tests (with a different MD). I was miserable for 40 years, so I'm GF no matter what the test results show, but if I have CD I want to have my 3 children tested. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Marian

PS: Does anyone have a recommendation for a GI specialist in Portland, OR?
