Hello Aquarius: and other interested parties:

I thought I would let the sun shine in on your posting, grin crone.

My suggestion would be for everyone on this mailing list to post all their
messages in plain text. That is different from Rich Text HTML That is before
sending your message to the list pull down the format menu alt F and choose
plain text.

When we post our messages, the messages travel around the internet and
travel threw many computers. Well computers with their many mail handling
programs handle messages differently. Programs like list serves such as
VICUG do funny things with our messages. If you are sending your message
in Rich Text HTML. or other formats such as MIME. Well these formats do not
play nice with the list serve programs. Some of us on the list are doing
this and our messages are coming out fine. Those who are posting in another
format well I hope you know who you are. Your posting usually start with
This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

For more information on this MIME format follow this link. Multipurpose
Internet
Mail Extensions (MIME). I warn you the below link may be read with a warm
glass of milk just before bedtime.

What is wrong with sending HTML or MIME messages?

How stuff works or in this case doesn't work.

A .mim or .mme file is a file in the Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension
(MIME) format.

That is MIME is a specification for the format of non-text e-mail
attachments that allows the attachment to be sent over the Internet. MIME
allows your mail client or Web browser to send and receive things like
spreadsheets and audio, video and graphics files via Internet mail.

MIME was defined in 1992 by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). The
distinguishing characteristic of a MIME message is the presence of the MIME
headers. As long as your mail recipients also have e-mail software that is
MIME-compliant (and most e-mail software is), you can swap files containing
attachments automatically.

: Because they're written with Mime characters in them, unfortunately for
: this list. People need to turn off Quoted Printable and switch to None,
: in that list of options in whichever email program they're using, if
: it's possible.
