I tried using SPSS and JAWS together a few months ago but had some problems.
The trick is that there's a patch script that you need to install along with
JAWS in order to enable it to provide SPSS support.  The script is not
developed by Freedom Scientific.  It's made by some company, I think in the
UK somewhere.  And I believe even with the script installed, there are some
features of SPSS (possibly the output viewer) that do not work correctly.
I'd recommend calling Freedom Scientific's tech support.  Get them to tell
you who makes this script and how to get in touch with them.  I'm pretty
sure that JAWS 5.0 comes with some version of the script automatically
installed, but the version of the script that you need is more up-to-date
than the one Freedom Scientific is selling with JAWS.  Hope this helps.
Hope you have better luck than I did.  I just gave up after a while,
deciding that it was too much trouble.
