Hi, everyone.
After much grief, I have a working version of Norton Internet Security 2003
running on my system. I'm a bit confused, though, about the status of the
program so am hoping that there's someone out there using this product that
can shed some light on the situation. When I boot up my computer, NIS
appears in the system tray as being disabled. But when I right-click the
icon and click on Security, it shows all components of the program as being
on. Once I close that screen, NIS is reported to be enabled in the system
tray. Why is this happening? Is the program actually disabled at boot-up,
even though when I go into it everything shows as being on? And if the
program is disabled on boot-up, how do I set it to be always
enabled? Also, in the context menu, there's an item called "Block
Traffic." Should this be turned on somehow? What exactly is this for?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Rachel
