Hi,
I'd like to know what the advantages are, if any, of converting mp3's to
wma's or vice versa, particularly from an audio standpoint. When all is
said and done, which sounds better in terms of frequency range, good dynamic
range, et cetera. I've heard people say that wma's sound better overall and
that mp3 formats rob the music of subtle nuances and so on. If you convert
an mp3 to wma, what would that accomplish? Isn't sound quality already
compromised in the mp3 format, and if so, is audio quality somehow restored?
Perhaps this is better asked on the pc-audio list, but I don't want to
subscribe to another listserv, I've got enough to deal with as is. .
Tom
