Ray, ask the client to maximize the screen. Alt+Space Bar, then the letter
x.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Very Peculiar Word Problem
Hi All:
I have a client running JAWS and Word 2003. He's experiencing some very
peculiar behavior with word that I've never seen.
Here's what happens. He has a document saved in Word. He wants to change
the point size for the entire document so that the font is larger. To do
this, I would tell someone:
1. Hold down control and press A to select all of the information in the
document.
2. Press alt+O to get to the format menu.
3. Press F to bring up the font dialog, you do not need to press enter.
4. Set the font type, font style and point size where you want them.
Then, tab to OK and press enter.
Here's the thing with my client. He can hit ctrl+a to select the document,
but when he presses alt+o to bring up the format menu, nothing happens. If
he presses just the alt key, he hears "file f." If he tries arrowing to the
right to get to the format menu. He hears "list box 0 items" after arrowing
right one time, and nothing if he arrows right a second time.
It sounds like some of the menu bars are hidden. Has anyone ever seen this
and if so, how do you fix it?
Thanks,
