Hi Jody

If you intend to play RFB&D CDs you will probably have to buy a CD
player from them.  Their CDs have copy protection so that they will
not play on a CD player without a special modification.  With the
shift from tapes to CDs RFB&D will have special offers on plyers over
the next few months.

I have been receiving tapes from RFB&D for 20 years but when they
discontinue the tapes in July I will stop using their service.  It is
not worth the trouble and cost to use their  CDs with the excessive
copy protection system they have adopted.

I have a Plextor which is very like the Victor.  The speed and pitch
control is essential if you play a lot of audio books and you will not
have this feature in a standard CD player.
