If the connection leaving the computer is via an Ethernet card, it is
probably possible to capture the data packets with a "sniffer" tool.
Ethereal is the popular free/open source choice; you may find the latest
versions under the name "WireShark".
If you can capture a few seconds worth of this traffic and send me the
packet file, I have additional analysis tools that may shed some light.
