Dad gum it, John. I knew you'd hit the nail on the head but now you killed
the whole theological debate with one simple answer. Haw. I heard this
recently and it remind me of the second Star Wars when Luke went to the
planet where Yoda lived to learn more of how to use the Force. Yoda pulled
his spaceship out of the water and mud hole by just his mental powers. When
he was done, and of course, Yoda was a little three foot short guy, Luke
said, "I don't believe it," yet he saw it with his own eyes. Yoda said,
simply, "That is why you fail." That little conversation is closer to the
truth except, of course, Yoda was talking about believing in the Force, or
the energy that is in all creation. Little bit of Hinduism is that I
realize, but Eastern religious theology permeates so much theological
thinking in this country, it is ridiculous. Anyhow, it is simple statements
like this that literally creep into our Bible preaching churches and start
screwing things up. It is, of course, referred to as New Age now but there
ain't nothing new about it. I hope others comment on the topic, anyhow.

Phil.
