Hi Ken,

You might consider Devil's Claw (Pagosid brand). That's what I use. You
take it as directed for 20 weeks, then stop for 3-4 weeks because it has a
cumulative effect.

Currently, I give it to my 15 year old terrier for luxating patella
(floating knee-cap). He's been pain free for months, and no knee slipping at
all :)

It's indicated for various types of arthritis. I used it with superior
results. Here's some info on it (site identified is Canadian, but you could
probably find it in the US). If not, order from that site :)

Also, as part of your pain management protocol, you might try taking 420mg
of magnesium twice a day (morning and night), along with 600mg of calcium
twice a day. Vit C, at the therapeutic dose of 500mg qid (4 times a day)
acts as a lovely anti-inflammatory :)

Most of the things I use on a daily basis are by Swiss Naturals, available
at most drugstores or dept stores (near pharmacy section). Or, you could
review the Swiss Natural line at www.greencanyon.com (again, in Canada).
They ship to the US. In fact, they might have the Devil's Claw by Pagosid. I
don't know about other formulations of Devil's Claw, but the Pagosid brand
works very well.

Cheers!

Carla
