Colin,
the 570 can use digital modes via the rear connector.  I bought such an
interface several years ago.  It has audio cables and an rs-232 connector
to connect to the pc, and the other end plugs into the dim connector on the
back of the 570.  I don't remember the rendor but I'm sure you can find
several in a hurry on the net.
