Hi, all.
I hope you don't mind my bringing this up again, but I'm still trying to
address the loud cooling fan issue on the used TMV7A I picked up at Dayton.
I got brave early tonight, and took the top cover off the rig where the
speaker is. The fan does seem to be loose in there, but I can't figure out
how to get the outside housing off to check out the fan itself. One post I
have here says it just snaps off, but I don't want to pull too hard on
anything, for fear of breaking something.
I realize I may have to buy a replacement fan, but want to see if the
problem is simpler than having to replace the actual fan.
Several people also have told me that, if the fan needs to be replaced, this
can be done with a 12-volt computer slot fan that is available at Best Buy
or other computer retailer for less than Kenwood charges for their
replacement fan.
Any help or suggestions here would be appreciated.
And, thanks for putting up with this post again.
