Parts/Attachments:
text/plain (42 lines)
Insert-6, ctrl-shift-d, for JAWS Default Configuration manager: Alt-s,
t for Text Options; tab into the dialogue, and discover "Language
Detection, checkbox checked". (Press spacebar to uncheck it, and save
changes. the checkbox can be toggled.) By default checked, JAWS will
attempt to speak according to the language html metatags it finds on the
Web site. Thus, for many UK Web sites, British english is the language
used there. (Also equivalents for non-English languages where text is
on such Web sites in them.)

Sorry George but your note gave me a real laugh. What a strange
surprise
that must have been. Personally I would love to hear Jaws with a
British
accent. I had no idea this could be done. What is one of the web
sites
giving you this very strange problem?
