My 6 year old daughter has Celiac Disease. She was diagnosed at 16 months
and is now thriving. I am 39 years old and was diagnosed with a Lupus-like
autoimmune problem about 2 years ago. I have had no gastro-intestinal
problems. However, because what I seem to have which was diagnosed by a
positive ANA only on a Lupus Panel (1:2560), and because we don't know where
her Celiac Disease is from, I decided to have my doctor draw blood for a
Celiac Panel. The only thing that came back abnormally was my IGg (1:18), I
believe a normal reading is under 10). My doctor seems to think it means
nothing and the slight abnormality of the test may be a result of whatever is
going on with my overactive immune system. Does anyone think this slight
abnormality is suspect and possibly being overlooked??
