My daughter-in-law is 35 and has always had IBS. Some doc recently told
her she has fibromyalgia (but I question that one). Her whole family has
bowel or reflux problems. When I mention testing for celiac, I pretty much
get blown off because all she says she has is Irritable Bowel (and she is
an RN)!! Over the last year or so, she has had abdominal pain.
Ultrasound showed questionable cysts on the ovaries. After a year of pain,
she finally had to undergo exploratory laparoscopy for what the doctor felt
was either cysts or endometriosis. Surgery was yesterday and the doctor
found absolutely nothing. Everything is in fine condition, but I figured
that was how it would turn out anyway.

My question to you is this: Have any of the women on this list ever
suffered from pelvic pain, abdominal pain, or painful intercourse, only to
find it was all related to celiac?

Thanks,
Bev
