I would like to add to the numerous posts detailing positive experiences dining at Outback restaurants.  I stopped at the Outback in Frederick, Maryland, on July 28 after attending a funeral in the DC area.  The server, Peter, made a special effort to inform himself about my needs, admitting that this was the first time he had served a patron from the gluten free menu.  I very much appreciated the server's interest and willingness to engage with the reasons for the dietary restrictions.  This positive experience was amplified by the manager's (Bill Walton) interest in a restaurant card I gave the server as a means for educating his kitchen and wait staff.  I want to applaud both these individuals and the Outback company for understanding the importance of safe food and dining experiences for people with food allergies and intolerances.

I have no financial interest in either the Outback company or the Frederick restaurant, but wish both a very healthy future as consistent and supportive suppliers of gluten free meals!
