I've been trying to find a list of commands which can be
used at the Command prompt, but have failed so far.

Suffice to say that Find will only find a text string in a
file or files.

The search string also needs to be inside double quotes?

When running command type:-

find/?

and press Enter, from the command prompt for a list of the
switches and syntax.

George.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Windows xp find files or folders

Hello,

Over the past few months I've been using windows xp pro at
home and at work, I've made a most disturbing discovery:

The find command will not find files which I know exist!

Now, Perhaps I have to tweak a setting or something, and if
so, I'd be grateful to be straightened out. And I'd be
interested to know if others have had this problem.
