I have low vision, around 20/200, and I use a Motorola cell phone which I
purchased in a Verizon store. I don't have the model # but I will look to
see if I have it somewhere. I like it because the numbers and symbols on the
keypad are easily legible for me. Also, it has a very legible, for me,
screen after the guys in tech support worked on it for about an hour to get
the wallpaper and print the way I need it to be. Yes, the type and size font
and the wallpaper can be changed. It has speaker and voice input features
and text messaging. Unfortunately, it was about $135 when I bought it about
two years ago.

The first one I bought turned out to be not so good for me, so I returned it
during the brief trial period, and exchanged it for the one I have now.

Sorry it took me so long to respond to your inquiry. We have been having
lots of problems with email.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Cell phones

Hi. I have a friend who enjoys texting on her cell phone. She however
has low vision and her old phone needs replaced. She can't seem to find
one that she can read the text on. Does anyone have any suggestions on
phones that are easy to read?

Thanks,

Mick
