Where it says 'image recorder' there should be a drop down scroll bar
showing your cd-r drives. If that isn't there then there is a conflict
somewhere, maybe with JAWS. Look in your programs menu under 'ahead' or
'nero' and see if there is an item called Nero Startsmart. If there is
then try that.
Nero 6 and 7 may be easy for JAWS since it is all icons but I don't use
JAWS so can't really say. 6 and 7 however are not upgrades. They are
packages that you would have to buy. The only upgrade for Nero 5 is Nero
5.5 which is free if you have a registered version of Nero 5.
If you want to totally remove Nero and then reinstall it, use add/remove
software in control panel. Remove it. Next check your c drive and go to
programs. If there is any file called 'Nero' or 'Ahead', delete it. Look
under documents and settings under the 'local' folder in your account
name. Look to see if Nero or Ahead is in there and delete it if it is.
Now go to 'start- 'run' and type regedt32. Click ok. This will bring up
your registry. Look under 'hkey_local machine' then 'software'. Again,
if Nero or Ahead appears under the software menu, delete it. Only delete
those items I mentioned, nero and/or ahead. Close the registry editor
and reboot. Now install Nero clean.
