Thanks Oko,
I was certain that you have some privy info on Kukoi and the 81 coup.
Men like you are quite familiar with the hot political issues of the
70s. The likes of Pap Cheyassin Secka and co of the most radical
breed ventured into forming political movements that in some quarters
was more of a masked clandestine movement. Not forgetting the big
movement in the name MOJA-G.
However, Oko, i still did not get the answers i was looking for. It
appears that Kukoi was not among the radicals you and the other
"kotos" knew in town in the 70s. He was not in the forces, he was not
in government, He probably was an unknown figure before 81. How did
he came out of the blues to lead a successful coup. HOW?
Because, if anything, the Cheyassins were more popular than Kukoi in
the 70s.
Pa-Pierre
