That sure puts a contemporary flavor to that verse. Greek island beaches???
Might not be better than God's house but sure better than winter in
Wisconsin hahahahaha. Seriously, I think of the times of vacation I've had
in life, be it just an hour or two away from home or the one time we
actually did visit islands in the tropics, and while those times were
refreshing in their own right, standing in a sea of fellow worshippers with
hands raise, or even by oneself or in a small group worshipping, gives a
deeper cleansing than beach sand can even begin to offer. I guess I'd liken
it to beach sand equals happiness, and worship equals joy. One is a
temporary reprieve of daily grind which eventually will again take over and
the other being a state in which even through the daily grind will continue
to offer peace.
