I've tried to reform my attitude about sleeping, but found it hard to do. I
know there are several of us on this list who seem to not be good sleepers.
I've tried to look at it as a sort of blessing in disguise, or a time when I
can engage in serious prayer for people. Sometimes I know for a fact, this
is the case. But there are those nights when I simply can't see
sleeplessness in this way. Last night was one of those nights. In fact,
during one of those nights, to tell the truth, I'd like to make just as much
noise as I can in order to wake the rest of those lazy sleepers up. After
all, if I'm up, so should the whole rest of the world be up. That includes
husbands, dogs, family friends and neighbors and any who might qualify as
lazy bums. I'm half smiling when I say this, so don't take me seriously.
It's just that some people sleep so effortlessly. They fall asleep almost
on impulse at the drop of the hat. I've tried any and every home remedy
available and some off the shelf stuff, including every vitamin and mineral
known to man kind. Yet, the demands of the day still call. Guess I'll just
wait to sleep until I get to heaven. Then I won't need any. Thanks for
letting me voice my sleep deprived frustration.
This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.
And I hope you do too.
