Hello Rich,
The Freedom Box system access is a nice screen rreader for most basic
applications. It works well with windows Explorer, internet explorer and
other windows functions.
They have a free 30 day trial where you can try it out.
If the funds are not available for Jaws or Windoweyes, System access gets
your computer going and usable for many functions.
