WE used some clips like they use for large batches of paper to hold
the faceplate to the mobile mount for the radio. I can barely read
its displays for setting frequencies and can activate tone when I need
to, thanks to the fact that everything in the NEw Orleans metro that I
need uses the same pl tone.

For something like an emergency ops center I'd rig a way to mount the
faceplate under an overhanging shelf or something which would keep it
from getting bounced around too badly. OTherwise look for some heavy
duty paper clips, not the little wire type but the type you'll
sometimes see that really grip something and use them with the
faceplate and either the radio's mobile mounting hardware or rig
something to hold it in place.

I find with the 2720 that I've connected an external speaker for each
band as well and that makes the radio much easier to work with.
