You know if we look at this parenting thing as God does with us, grace and
mercy flavored with wisdom and guideance, as unseen as it may be in the
moment, sometimes God will rescue us from being in over our heads, and
sometimes he let's us sleep in the bed we made and we just need to swing
the leg out and pull ourselves to a sitting position and then get up.
We as parents are no different. Sometimes we can rescue out of a helping
hand and give opportunity for responsibility and character to rise to the
occasion, and then sometimes there are deeper character lessons to be
learned that can only be done by the child being left to their own devices
and will to come to God under full payment of their own goods. IN other
words if they pay in full with their own sweat, they have more vested in
their situation.
