Boy Phil,
         Your post makes me think that I am reading my future.  The
difference is that we are kicking Chris out in 22 days when he turns
18, and then, if he wants to live with us, again, as the prodigal
come home, then we will negotiate ground rules.  Right now, it would
be like talking to the wall, but you already know and understand that.
         By the way, Karen had made a comment earlier about
enabling.  I don't think that anyone could accuse Phil and Sandy, or
Greg and myself of enabling.  We are all trying to walk the tough
love rout.  As parents, however, we can still see the good in our
wayward child and it is that good that we continue to fight for to
bring to the surface.
