2006 CELIAC AWARENESS WALK AND FOOD FAIR: Save May 20 from 8am until 12 noon,
for the Celiac Awareness Walk around Greenlake and Gluten Free Food Vendor
Fair. Registration forms and sponsor donation envelopes are available.
Volunteers are needed to help clean up after the walk. Consider raising money for
Celiac Awareness and Research by asking people to sponsor you, your family or your
walk team to walk Greenlake.
JOBB LECTURESHIP SERIES (ABOUT CELIAC DISEASE) AT SWEDISH HOSPITAL:
March 9 (7:30-8:30 am in the Glaser Auditorium) Swedish Hospital will feature
lectures on "Celiac Sprue: Findings 50 Years Ago and Recently" and "Gluten
Intolerance and CD: Diets, Fads and Science".
March 23 the lecture will cover "What's New in CD". Registration for the
general public is complimentary but required. To register call Swedish Medical

BASTYR UNIVERSITY JOURNAL: Jean Slocum will describe an article about
diarrhea treatment from the summer issue.
GF HEINZ PRODUCTS: Lynn Gough has provided a list of Heinz Company GF
products, copies will be available at our March meeting.
WHOLE FOODS GF FOOD LIST: Dona McGowan has provided a list of gluten free
foods available at Whole Foods and an announcement of ongoing cooking classes for
kids at Whole Foods. Copies will be available at our March meeting.
GLUTENFREE MARCH NEWSLETTER ARTICLE: Connie Sarros included a Food Spoilage

MARCH DISCUSSION TOPIC: Yvonne Gifford from GlutenFreeda will discuss
naturally gluten free foods, how to think substitution, not deprivation, when
choosing GF foods. Bring baggies to carry free samples home after the meeting. CAVEAT
TO THOSE WITH OTHER INTOLERANCES: All GlutenFreeda foods are GF, but their
dairy free foods contain soy and their soy free foods contain dairy. Hopefully
there will be good information and safe foods for all who attend.
