My "delete" key does not always work.

Quite frequently when it doesn't work I then double click the "backspace"
key and hey presto the word is deleted.

I use XP Professional and everything apart from that is AOK.

Is there anything which I can do to overcome this problem?

I am sure that my keyboard is not faulty.
