In doing a search for Dell Dimension 8200 series computer memory, there
are 1GB kits (2X512MB RDRAM) compatible RAM available from several sources.
The price ranges from $370 to $490. You will need the exact 8200 model you
have to assure compatibility. Dell computers are very finicky about memory
compatibility.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Upgrading the Memory

I have a Dell Dimension 8200 thats about two years old and I would like to
upgrade the memory on it. It has RDRAM architecture, and the memory type is
PC800. I've been looking at alot of memory on various sites and I can only
find SDRAM in the amount that I want. I want to add 1GB of memory which
would be 2x 512mb cards because you have to install memory in pairs. So my
question is this, would 2x 512mb SDRAM work with my CPU? Also does the
memory type have to be the same as well? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
