<<< Does anyone know how to set system restore to automatically set a restore
point when you turn the computer on?

I'm using WinXP2 on an HP computer.>>>>

I do not know the reasons for your wanting to have this ability but there does appear to be a way (though not automatically when you start your computer but by writing a visual basic script.)the following URL gives the details.

NOTE:- I WILL NOT ATTEMPT THIS AND DO NOT KNOW THE IMPLICATIONS ON "SYSTEM RESTORE" FEATURE AS SUCH BUT KEEP IT AS A BIT OF KNOW HOW.

HTH and have a nice day----Venkat
