I've found that ground flax irritates my "gut", so I've cut down to only 1 or 2 Tbls a week (spread out). But I've substituted Fiber 1 -- one of the "clear" fiber supplements. It's fruit pectin fiber so it "absorbs" rather than "sweeps" through and it's made a big difference. I'd think you'd be okay with it if you're able to eat regular fruit.
