Try a vx 5 or any of the dc to light handheld radios but make sure you
have good antennas. They make all the difference. A small directional
foxhunting beam will work and they are easy to build. Hmmm I might do a
delta loop for 2 and 70 cm tonight just for grins.

That leakage in the system usually interferes with other stuff as
well,
sometimes our bands.
