Hi Bob;

That was very well put.

I few years ago my friend couldn't get down to work on my HF antenna until 
the spring.

I was without HF for almost an entire winter.

Echolink filled the bill very well.

IRLP is also another facet of the hobby.

Nothing can or will take the place of radio communication however, let's be 
about that we have a choice.
