Generally, going from 128 MB to 256 MB RAM on Windows 98SE doesn't buy you
anything because the operating system rarely needs more than 128 MB of
RAM. Unless you are using an application that specifically uses 256 MB of
RAM, it is usually a waste of money on Windows 98 SE. However, if you use
Windows 2000, then you will find bumping up to 256 MB of RAM to be very
beneficial.
