Now, sorry if I'm being nosy, but, why have you been through 5 of them? I'm
just curious. I know I'm kind of hard on HT's from time to time but the ham
stuff seems to take more of my use than CB stuff where I was replacing them
every year, my ft-51 is still going after 6 years though been in the shop
once. I'm just curious.

Subject: Re: T90A question
Hi Tom, I've had five of the t90A units counting the one which was stolen
earlier this year, and probably the best though not least expensive
solution, especially if your son's unit is still in warrantee, is to buy the
ciglighter cord,/my experience cheapest Stateside prices have been from
Universal radio in Reynoldsburg, OH, and or R&L electronics in Hamilton, oh.
I've also heard that there's a supplier in Canada with better prices than
stateside on some of the Acs, I don't remember that house's name, but
they're mentioned in one of the product reviews on the radio offered at
www.eham.net . I believe that it's Batteries america who makes a
combination battery pack and power cord for the radio for about $30 or so,
but have never tried it. That t90's undoubtedly_ the Most blind friendly
radio I've yet experienced, though accessory prices are Formitable, battery
life is pretty limited, and SMA antenna connectors are a pain! imho.
but for a blind friendly do it all radio in a little package, it's probably
the best out there.
If I can be of any more help, let me know, Danny Dyer, Wb4idu
