that's what I was thinking, my scanner actually does a great job, I'd say it
reads about 98% of all text I throw at it and the other 2 % I can figure out
based off the rest of it.

Eric, if you've got a tech manual that's going to give scanning errors that
are
so serious as to be a problem you've either got a pre 1985 scanner or you
took a
far more difficult tech exam thatn I've ever seen as a VE.
