SSB is great on both the 7600 and the 1102,  I like to tune in WWV and zero
beat it with the little BFO control.  Then I just tune up and down the ham
bands using the 1 KHz up/down keys.  Most QSO's are on integer frequencies,
so you don't have to readjust the BFO very often.
