you talk as if Canadian money is worth so much more then US hi hi...its
actually the other way around
....the VSWR meter with both modules is approx 250 Canadian...about 200
US....and you get swr read out for both HF and VHF/UHF including 220 and
440MHZ.
Remember, the tw1 only does swr and power for HF...the canadian swr meter
will read power up to 600 watts on HF. No VHF power read out on it
though...ldg is coming out with a VHF/UHF watt/SWR meter this summer, also
likely for $150.
As far as getting the best bang for your buck, ide go with the meter from
Canada since you can get both HF and VHF/UHF swr reading with one meter, and
if you want a HF power meter it has that too...as long as you dont wanna
measure anything over 625 watts anyway. If you do want to measure over
that, the tw1 has a max power rating of 2000 watts.
If you use tube amps or tube radios that need manual tuning, perhaps the tw1
is better since it has a tone for peak power and also has a tone for setting
your tuner to get lowest swr.
I believe the canadian meter has an option for the tone that you can use for
tuning swr, but not, i dont think for peaking your power level.
hope that helps a little.
