I wish the above were true, but in reality I suspect they work for the
insurers and the pharmaceutical companies. The only reason I have any
credibility with this guy is because my HbAIc was within the normal range
and therefore as a type 2, I must be 'taking care' of myself.

Thanks Ginny, Paula & Keith. I have found some info relating to other
studies which indicated raised creatinine levels with a high meat diet but
nothing to explain how or why this is or longer term consequences on kidney
function.
