Dear Listmembers/friends,
Have you seen the article "New Year, New Labels" in the current issue of
Gluten-Free Living? It is an excellent overview of what is supposed to
happen after Jan. 1 to all U.S. food labels, including perspective from the
manufacturers. Learn about uncertainties where certain ingredients are so
highly processed so as to not have measurable amounts of gluten, but wheat
might still have to be listed on the label. There is also a discussion of
what "gluten free" will really mean after the FDA hearings. This article
makes the new labeling law more understandable to celiacs. Therefore, we
will have more quality of life living gluten free and less time shopping in
