I am not sure if this is software or hardware related. Perhaps someone can tell me. I run a WinXP, ver. 2002, SP2 on an AMD Atlon 1.24 GHz with 512 MB memory. About a month ago, I noticed that my speakers started popping after I shut my comp down. A week or so later, I noticed that I still heard noise from my comp after it seemed to shut down correctly. I opened it up, and the fans are still running, and the power light is flickering. The only way to get the fans off is to cut the electricity or use the switch at the back of the comp. I cannot shut it down by holding the power button for several seconds. I tried repairing WinXP, and it worked for about 2 days, then the fans started not shutting down again, and the power light flickers. Do you have any idea what it might be? I am soooo confused. Thanks in advance for you help. Lesa
