Hi Robert,

use DVD Shrink (does the ripping too) to backup your DVD, and Nero to
burn it.
Download DVD Shrink from  http://www.dvdshrink.org/ (is a freeware) and
use program's help file for more info.
Check also  http://www.dvdshrink.info/ if you don't want to download the
s/w.
