It always puzzled me that diabetics are giving a diet in which bread is
allowed, potatoes and other starches too. Thy have to count the carbs and then
take insuline according to that.
Doesn't anybody ever think it might be easier to cut out those carbs and the
need for insuline would reduce?
Same thing a documentary on Belgium tv showed a woman who had a
pancreas-transplantation. The very first thing she ate when she was allowed
solids (I kid you not!) was a sandwich with a small bottle of coca-cola!!!!! I
nearly fell off my chair in disbelieve and wondered why the hell they gave her
an extremely expensive operation if she was not going to get rid of the foods
that contributed to her disease in the first place.
A sandwich and a bloody coke, of all thing!
I remember my both my parents and a sister of mine shooting up after a meal in
order to balance things. If they were still alive today I can only hope they'd
be willing to give Paleo a try.
