Jim,

I assume that you eat more a substantial amount of fat now than
previously. Was your experience that eating the way you do now (no
carbs and limited protein) resulted in you being able to digest more
fat at a meal? I have found that I have a low limit to the amount of
saturated fat and fats from nuts and seeds that I am able to digest.
I wonder if enzyme levels or other biochemical factors can be changed
very much by altering diet. I am fairly lean with a somewhat
athletic build. Therefore, if anything, I am more interested in
gaining weight (muscle) than losing it. I find that whenever I eat
low carbs, that I lose weight and experience malaise. This is
probably partly due to lower caloric intake and perhaps because I am
do not continue long enough to switch to fat burning (I am not sure
how long it takes. Usually after 2 weeks my weight has significantly
started to drop and I feel tired all the time).

I am not so much interested for myself of dropping down to 0 carbs,
but more the capacity to digest fat. I believe the the biochemical
pathways for digesting, assimilating and metabolizing fat and carbs
work opposite each other. Therefore, since you are on zero carbs I
figure that you might have noticed a difference.
